POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Security Analyst is responsible for ensuring that best practices for Information Technology and Data security are implemented within the technology environment at Adelante Healthcare.  This includes implementing and operating data security tools as well as reviewing new technology implementations and contracts to ensure that Adelante data is secure in internal and vendor computing environments.  This position is also responsible for developing policies and procedures that ensure data security and performing periodic tests to test the adherence to those policies.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, clinical, or business discipline. Or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience, required.
  • Five (5) years of experience implementing technology security operations at a medium to large sized company.
  • Expertise with security tools covering endpoints, network and Microsoft cloud platforms.
  • Expertise with Cisco or other firewalls.
  • Knowledge of script programming in Powershell and Python to facilitate automation of security processes.
  • Experience with creating security policies and procedures.
  • Experience with educating end users on security best practices.
  • Experience with performing security audits, external penetrations tests, and phishing simulations.
  • Experience with implementing HIPAA security measured preferred
  • Evidence of valid Arizona driver’s license and current auto insurance
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform in a responsible ethical manner
  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research the latest in information technology security trends to keep up to date with the subject and use the latest technology to protect information.
  • Develop a security plan for best standards and practices in the company.
  • Establish and review automated security alerts as well as constructing scripts to take action on incidents.
  • Own and configure security tools such as Crowdstrike, Extrahop and MS Defender.
  • Suggest new tools or procedures to increase company security posture.
  • Conduct periodic tests to ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
  • Perform periodic audits on IT and facility security access.  Assist with security and other audits performed by internal and external parties.

 

  • Administer system security and user roles and assignments.
  • Evaluate new systems and business partnerships for potential data security ramifications.
  • Develop and document administrative and maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Make recommendations to managers and senior executives about security advancements to best protect the company’s systems.
  • Review and update security policies and procedures on a periodic basis.

 

 

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Certifications relating to software applications, technology infrastructure and or clinical specializations are an advantage
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project or similar applications

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for long periods of time, is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb steps/stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; smell; manage stress as it relates to essential job functions.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance and may occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time when traveling to various clinic sites.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be subject to health hazards (contagious diseases, blood borne pathogens, etc.) when working in the clinic area.
